Our History

The College of Physical Education at Tikrit University was established in 2007 as a specialized institution to enhance the university's role in society. It transitioned from a department to a college, marking the academic and scientific development of Tikrit University. The college's first graduating class in 2008 consisted of 26 students who obtained bachelor's degrees in physical education. The college actively engages in various activities, including scientific conferences, seminars, and training courses for sports and youth affairs. It collaborates with educational institutions and sports organizations to promote school sports and the sports movement in Saladin Governorate. Through its initiatives, the college and university demonstrate their commitment to society and its entities involved in sports and youth affairs.

To be the leading college among its counterparts in the country, with its scientific staff, graduates, and the provision of consultation, research, and community service.

To enrich the community with scientific talents and competencies through graduates, and to provide rigorous research and consultation services to farmers and agricultural project owners.

The college aims to prepare specialized scientific personnel in all fields of agricultural sciences to contribute to the improvement and development of food manufacturing, animal wealth, increased plant production, and efficient utilization of natural resources in the region and throughout the country. Additionally, it aims to provide consultancy services in all specialized agricultural fields.


The College of Sport at Tikrit University provides high-quality education in sports. The teaching approach emphasizes practical training and skill development. The curriculum covers various subjects, including sports science and management. Ethical values, teamwork, and leadership are emphasized. The college offers modern facilities and collaborations with sports organizations. The goal is to produce competent professionals in the field of sports.

The research focuses on various areas, including sports science, exercise physiology, sports management, coaching techniques, and sports psychology.
