The Vice President of Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs holds primary responsibility for educational policy and academic programs. This role entails providing a visionary approach to guide the development and enhancement of the curriculum, ensuring accreditation standards are met, improving teaching and learning methods, assessing student learning outcomes, and making strategic academic decisions to address the diverse educational needs of the student community.
Working in collaboration with the Deans and the program development unit within the institution, the Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating educational programs. This includes overseeing activities related to academic promotion, research, and postgraduate studies. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Vice President supervises directorates of scientific and postgraduate affairs, program development and quality assurance, the international English language center, and the pedagogy center.
Moreover, the Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs reviews grant opportunities, provides support for new grant applications, and ensures the proper implementation of grants within the university. Additionally, this role involves representing the university at scientific meetings, conferences, and other relevant activities. Furthermore, the Vice President may be assigned to deliver presentations at meetings, workshops, and events by the President.

OUR HISTORY FACTS
Tikrit University experienced remarkable growth, leading to the establishment of additional colleges. The expansion began with the Mixed Education College and culminated in the College of Education, which later underwent a division into two branches: the College of Education for Humanities and the College of Education for Applied Sciences in 2013. As a result, the university now encompasses an array of colleges that offer diverse academic disciplines.
