Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, formally inaugurated the exhibition showcasing the scientific products of Iraqi universities. The event took place at the University of Baghdad in the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, the President of the University of Baghdad, and Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities. These esteemed figures were attending the fifty-sixth session of the Conference of the Association of Arab Universities held in the capital, Baghdad.
The exhibition featured a wide range of scientific innovations, patents, publications, literature, devices, and state-of-the-art technical equipment contributed by Iraqi universities. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, serving as both the Minister of Higher Education and the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, personally explored the exhibition pavilions to gain insights into the remarkable contributions made by the universities.
During his visit, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi emphasized the crucial significance of advancing and strengthening the research environment in Iraqi universities. He stressed the need for collaboration with Arab universities to foster joint scientific research endeavors. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of utilizing this collaborative research to support the needs of the job market, particularly in medical, engineering, and artificial intelligence disciplines. By doing so, he aimed to ensure that Iraqi universities remain aligned with global scientific and technological advancements.
