President of Tikrit University Receives Ministerial Committee for the Establishment of a Postgraduate Diploma Program at the College of Political Science

Professor Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of Tikrit University, welcomed in his office the ministerial committee assigned to study the establishment of a one-year postgraduate diploma program in Political Systems / Countering Extremism at the College of Political Science.

The meeting focused on discussing the requirements for launching the new academic program and its alignment with the standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Raouf affirmed his full support for this academic initiative, emphasizing its importance in supplying national institutions with qualified professionals specialized in issues of extremism and public policy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf presented a formal letter of appreciation to the members of the ministerial committee, in recognition of their efforts in supporting academic development and advancing specialized programs.

The meeting was also attended by Professor Dr. Qasim Alwan, Dean of the College of Political Science, who expressed the college’s full readiness—both in terms of faculty and infrastructure—to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

Professor Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, President of Tikrit University, welcomed Engineer Mufeed Al-Baldawi, Deputy Governor of Salah Al-Din for Technical Affairs, in a meeting aimed at exploring avenues to strengthen strategic cooperation and institutional integration between the university and the local government.

Dr. Raouf opened the meeting by expressing his appreciation for the Deputy Governor’s visit and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting the province through scientific expertise and technical consultations. He emphasized that Tikrit University is fully prepared to collaborate on projects that meet community needs and contribute to sustainable development. "The synergy between academic institutions and government entities is essential to advancing the well-being and aspirations of Salah Al-Din’s citizens," he noted.

Deputy Governor Al-Baldawi commended the university's pivotal role in enhancing educational and research services, highlighting its contribution as a cornerstone in the province’s broader development strategy. He also praised the university’s dedication to excellence and innovation.

The meeting concluded with expressions of mutual respect and a shared vision for future collaboration. The Deputy Governor extended his gratitude for the warm hospitality and wished Tikrit University continued success in its mission to serve Iraq through education, research, and community engagement.
