Tikrit University Signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society

Tikrit University has signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society aimed at enhancing medical and health training for the university’s students, particularly those in medical colleges, in a way that contributes to raising their scientific and practical competencies and serving the community.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Tikrit University by Professor Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, representing the University President, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf. The Iraqi Red Crescent Society was represented by its President along with a number of its officials.

The President of the Society affirmed that the high level of technology used at Tikrit University, together with the efficiency of its academic and administrative staff, inspires confidence that the university’s graduates will play an effective role in serving Iraqi society and bringing about positive change for the better. He noted that Tikrit University is considered a major academic institution and a source of pride for Iraqis, as well as a model to be emulated at both the local and international levels.

The agreement includes the organization of workshops and training courses in first aid and emergency response, training students on the mechanisms of work in the mobile hospitals operated by the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, in addition to involving medical college students—especially first-year students—in the medical, health, and academic activities organized by the Society.

For its part, the Presidency of Tikrit University emphasized its commitment to strengthening partnerships with humanitarian and health institutions in a manner that contributes to preparing medically qualified cadres, both scientifically and practically, capable of serving the community and meeting its needs.
