Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, the University organized the University Festival of Free Drawing, held by the Department of Student Activities in the gardens of the College of Agriculture, with wide participation from talented students and artists representing various colleges of the university.
The festival was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim, who praised the outstanding artistic talents displayed by the students, emphasizing that Tikrit University places great importance on extracurricular activities that foster creativity and develop students’ aesthetic and intellectual capacities.
The festival featured a collection of artistic paintings expressing diverse humanitarian, national, and social themes, through which students showcased their artistic vision and creative imagination.
A specialized jury from the Department of Art Education supervised the evaluation of the artworks, assessing them according to artistic and creative criteria. At the end of the event, the winning students were honored, and certificates of appreciation were presented to all participants in recognition of their remarkable efforts.
This activity comes within the framework of the University’s plan to support youth talents and promote cultural and artistic activities that contribute to shaping the well-rounded personality of university students.
