Tikrit University Holds an Online Meeting with QS Representative to Enhance Academic Reputation

As part of its efforts to improve its international rankings and strengthen its global academic presence, Tikrit University held an online meeting with Dr. Sergey Paramonov, the Middle East and Africa representative of the QS organization, to discuss mechanisms for enhancing the university’s academic reputation and improving research and institutional performance indicators.

The meeting was attended by the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf; the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Hassan Hussein Ibrahim; and Assistant Professor Dr. Akram Hassan Abd, Director of the Information Technology Center and coordinator of the university’s ranking committee.

The meeting began with a presentation of the university’s most recent achievements in scientific research, institutional accreditation, digital transformation plans, faculty development programs, and efforts to improve educational outcomes. The two sides also discussed future cooperation with QS, particularly in areas related to strengthening academic reputation, promoting international visibility of research activities, improving citation indicators, and connecting researchers to global research networks.

Dr. Sergey Paramonov praised Tikrit University’s efforts in updating academic programs and developing digital infrastructure, expressing QS’s readiness to provide the necessary advisory and informational support to help the university improve its position in global rankings.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain continuous communication and hold further sessions to develop a joint roadmap aimed at enhancing Tikrit University’s academic and research reputation at the international level.
