The President of Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, chaired an expanded meeting dedicated to discussing the 2024 state report on canceling financial privileges for government officials, within the framework of enhancing transparency and strengthening administrative and financial procedures at the university.
The meeting was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mezban Mohammed Farhan, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department; Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Thiyab, Director of the Audit Department; Dr. Saddam Hussein, representative of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit; in addition to a number of specialists in financial and legal affairs.
During the meeting, the attendees reviewed the items included in the report and clarified mechanisms for implementing them within higher education institutions to ensure compliance with government regulations and achieve optimal use of public funds. They also discussed proposals aimed at improving oversight procedures and activating follow-up systems in accordance with approved standards.
The University President affirmed that Tikrit University is committed to implementing the directives issued by regulatory and official bodies, in line with the state’s policy to reduce waste and ensure fairness in resource distribution. He emphasized the importance of cooperation among all departments to accomplish assigned tasks with accuracy and transparency.
