Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority / Human Rights Department, the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency organized an awareness campaign on the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, aiming to raise awareness and promote a culture of poverty alleviation within the university community.
The campaign included designing and printing awareness posters addressing the concept of poverty, its causes, and its social and economic impacts, and distributing them to students and university staff. It also emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable groups and enabling them to access their basic rights.
The initiative aimed to foster a spirit of social solidarity, highlight the role of academic institutions in raising awareness of sustainable development issues, and encourage students to participate in humanitarian and community initiatives that contribute to reducing poverty as a shared responsibility.
The University Presidency expressed its appreciation to the Human Rights Division for its efforts in organizing such impactful awareness campaigns, wishing them continued success and dedication in serving the university and the community.
