The Continuing Education Center at Tikrit University organized the seventh edition of the Modern Teaching Methods Course for the period from November 1, 2025, to February 3, 2026, with the participation of several holders of postgraduate degrees from the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, and the Sunni and Shiite Endowments.
The course aims to develop participants’ skills in university teaching methods and techniques, enhance their abilities in effective communication, lesson planning, and classroom management, as well as introduce them to the latest educational trends in contemporary higher education.
The program included both theoretical and practical lectures delivered by a group of specialized professors in the fields of teaching methods, educational psychology, and evaluation and measurement. The sessions focused on the importance of using modern educational technologies and active learning strategies.
For his part, the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Siyaf Abdul Hussein, affirmed that organizing such courses comes as part of the university’s plan to enhance the efficiency of academic staff and improve the quality of academic performance. He also praised the participants’ outstanding engagement and the high level of scientific discussions that characterized the training sessions.
