As part of his continued interest in strengthening institutional identity and supporting cultural and artistic initiatives within the university, the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, viewed this morning the symbolic artwork produced through an initiative by the Women’s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and installed in the University Presidency building.
His Excellency listened to a detailed explanation of the concept of the artwork and its symbolic meanings, expressing his high appreciation for this creative work. He praised the efforts made by the Women’s Affairs Division and those responsible for this distinguished initiative, commending the active role of academic women in contributing to the cultural and aesthetic landscape of the university, alongside their scientific and educational role.
The artwork, executed and painted by Assistant Professor Dr. Umayma Ibrahim Mohammed, a faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine, embodies a profound artistic vision that reflects the image of Iraq crowned with the symbolism of knowledge and learning, clearly signifying the university’s enlightening mission and its role in shaping human potential, in line with the slogan “The University of All Iraqis.”
During the visit, the University President emphasized that attention to art and visual symbolism within the university space is an important part of building institutional identity and strengthening national belonging, encouraging the continuation of such creative initiatives that reflect the cultural and civilizational image of Tikrit University.
