President of Tikrit University Receives the Deputy Governor of Salahuddin for Technical Affairs to Discuss Establishing a New Gate and Developing University Infrastructure

The President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, received today, Monday, in his office, Engineer Mohammed Aayed Fankh, Deputy Governor of Salahuddin for Technical Affairs, along with his accompanying delegation, to discuss several vital topics related to infrastructure and the development of the university’s entrances.

During the meeting, they discussed the opening of a new main gate for the university from the Al-Alam side, reviewing the technical requirements needed for constructing the gate and the service road leading to it, in a manner that aligns with the university’s ongoing urban expansion and enhances the smooth entry of students and staff.

The University President and the Deputy Governor, accompanied by the Director of the Reconstruction and Projects Department, specialized engineers from Tikrit University, and engineers from the Directorate of Roads and Bridges, conducted a field visit to the project site to assess the land conditions and identify the technical needs and infrastructure required to implement the work according to the highest standards.

The two sides agreed to hold an expanded meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, bringing together specialized engineers from the Salahuddin Roads and Bridges Directorate and the university’s Reconstruction and Projects Department, with the aim of discussing available proposals and reaching the best practical solutions for opening the gate and the service road, while addressing any potential obstacles to implementation.

The meeting also explored several other developmental issues related to supporting the university’s construction projects and improving its service environment to keep pace with the increasing number of students and the expanding geographical area of the campus.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized their commitment to maintaining ongoing coordination between Tikrit University and the Salahuddin Governorate, and to working on implementing strategic projects that will enhance infrastructure and provide an integrated university environment that supports both educational and research processes.
