President of Tikrit University Receives Representatives from Baghdad and Ashur Banks to Discuss Prospects for Joint Cooperation

The President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, received a delegation representing Baghdad Bank and Ashur Private Bank to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the university and private banks, and to open new avenues for coordination in the fields of training and banking services.

 

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the possibility of holding workshops and training seminars aimed at increasing banking awareness and knowledge among students and staff. They also explored the provision of comprehensive banking services within the university, including the installation of ATMs to facilitate financial transactions, offering easy-term loans to students for tuition payment, and providing special loans for the acquisition of solar and clean energy systems.

 

The University President affirmed his support for such initiatives that contribute to improving services provided to students and university staff. He emphasized the importance of fostering a competitive environment in the banking sector, as it helps enhance service quality and reduce costs.

 

He also directed the formation of a committee from the concerned university departments to follow up on the implementation of the proposed banking projects and services, ensuring their timely completion and the achievement of their intended benefits.

 

The visiting delegation included Assistant Professor Dr. Khattab Imran Saleh, Assistant Dean of the College of Administration and Economics for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Farhan, Head of the Marketing Management Department; Dr. Mohammed Thiyab, Director of the Audit and Internal Control Department; Dr. Muzban Al-Farhan, Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department; and Mr. Ahmed Matar Ahmed, Director of the Employment and Rehabilitation Division.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the university presidency for the warm reception, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation in ways that benefit students and the academic environment while contributing to the development of banking services within Tikrit University.
