On Monday morning, November 3, 2025, the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, conducted an extensive field tour to review the progress of several service projects being implemented within the university campus. These projects have been reactivated after several years of suspension, in coordination and cooperation with the Governor of Salahuddin, Mr. Badr Al-Fahal.
The tour included the Paving and Rehabilitation of Tikrit University Roads Project, one of the delayed projects that had been on hold since 2014. Work on this project was recently resumed through joint efforts between the University Presidency and the Salahuddin Governorate. The visit also covered the rehabilitation and expansion of the main parking area, the parking access road, and the service road within the university.
During the tour, the University President emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of the projects according to the required technical specifications. He stressed the importance of continuous on-site supervision to ensure that the work is executed with high quality, contributing to infrastructure improvement, facilitating movement across the campus, and presenting the university in a modern and dignified manner.
Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf expressed his deep appreciation for the strong support provided by the Governor of Salahuddin, Mr. Badr Al-Fahal, through his ongoing follow-up and direct cooperation in overcoming obstacles facing service project implementation. He affirmed that this constructive collaboration represents an exemplary model of integration between state institutions in serving the higher education sector in the province.
The University President also pointed out that these projects are part of a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate the university’s facilities and develop its infrastructure in preparation for welcoming students and faculty members. He noted that these efforts contribute to enhancing the university’s service environment and providing an integrated academic setting befitting the name and reputation of Tikrit University.
