President of Tikrit University Inaugurates the Discussion and Conference Hall at the College of Islamic Sciences

Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, inaugurated on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the new Discussion and Conference Hall at the College of Islamic Sciences. The hall is one of the modern facilities equipped with the latest technologies to host postgraduate thesis defenses, as well as academic conferences and seminars.

The opening ceremony took place in the new classroom building in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Anwar Fares Abd, along with several faculty members. The University President toured the hall, inspecting its technical and service facilities, and praised the efforts of the College’s administration in developing the university’s educational environment and providing the necessary infrastructure to support academic and research activities.

It is worth mentioning that the project for constructing the classroom buildings and the discussion hall was supported and funded by the Kuwaiti Relief Society, headed by Sheikh Rumi Al-Rumi, in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf, which acted as the project’s donor. The construction and rehabilitation works were carried out by the implementing company in accordance with the highest engineering standards.

In his speech on this occasion, the University President affirmed that this new academic facility represents a qualitative addition to the infrastructure of Tikrit University and contributes to strengthening academic and research activities. He also expressed his gratitude to all supporting and implementing parties for their efforts in realizing this vital project.
