Tikrit University received today a delegation from the ministerial team affiliated with the Office of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research / University Monitoring Department. The delegation was welcomed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, in the presence of Assistant Lecturer Qusay Mahdi Saleh, Assistant Director of the Monitoring Department at Tikrit University.
This visit comes as part of field follow-up on the Ministry’s directives related to monitoring work (university security) and reviewing the mechanisms for implementing instructions aimed at enhancing security and smooth movement within the university campus. The ministerial delegation conducted field tours throughout the university corridors to follow up on the performance of university security units and ensure the implementation of procedures related to protecting students, staff, and university property.
The delegation discussed with the university administration mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between university security, the protection force, and the security agencies responsible for protecting the university, in a way that ensures enhanced security coordination and rapid response to emergency situations.
The ministerial team explained that the tasks of the Monitoring Department include providing necessary protection for university activities such as celebrations, exhibitions, and scientific conferences, as well as following up on complaints submitted by employees, visitors, and students, ensuring smooth entry and exit of faculty members, employees, and students, and creating a safe and suitable environment for work and study.
