Prof. Muath Abdul-Wahab Abdul-Aali (Ph.D), a lecturer at the College of Agriculture, University of Tikrit, and the researcher Basmah Dhabab obtained a patent from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control of the Ministry of Planning with an international classification number A01N65 / 03 as a result of their research entitled:

"Control of Tobamovirus Tomato Mosaicvirus (ToMV) with Human Supplement Produced from Algae"

where this discovery is the first of its kind in the world in the use of natural complementary foods extracted from Algae with a medical effect in raising immunity and resistance to viruses for humans according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization WHO in favor of plants and transforming them to feed them and raise their resistance to infection with viral diseases, these studies are environment-friendly research and renewable energy. This type of researches is currently receiving global attention, beside that, this study is targeted towards one of the most dangerous viruses that can survive for several years in the soil and has a renewable pathogenic capacity. The damage of this virus was limited by using the algae Spirulina platensis classified as a super food and diagnosed at the molecular level. The enzymatic resistance stimulation was evaluated with a measurement Evidence for virus pathogenesis as a function of reducing its multiplication and spread in the host.
