Prof. Dr. Jihad Dhiyab Mahal, President of Tikrit University, chaired the University Council meeting at its tenth open session through the application (CiscoWebex Meeting) in the presence of members of the University Council and a number of experts and specialists in the fields of postgraduate studies and the international classification of universities .

During the meeting, the implementation of the new decisions regarding the dates of submission of postgraduate studies for the next academic year was discussed, in addition to a discussion of the ministry’s order dealing with critical grades for postgraduate students in the first semester of this year .

For the purpose of identifying the most important international requirements and standards for entering into the universities classification, the Vice- President of the university for scientific affairs provided a full explanation of the classification ( RuR ) and the Times classification. After that, the meeting discussed the requirements of the joining of Tikrit University these categories.

The meeting also discussed the issue of opening a law school in Al- Shirqat district, a university maintenance campaign, and scientific promotions in a number of university colleges .
